Dr. Jennifer Baudy is the Director of the Aurora Program, a program that focuses on increasing student achievement for students who require more intensive academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support.
Jennifer has more than 15 years of experience working in public and private schools, as well as community-based agencies. Her experience includes providing clinical services as a licensed social worker, nonprofit administration, program development, and conducting social-emotional workshops for service organizations.
Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where she double majored in history and Afro- & African-American studies. While in St. Louis, Jennifer became passionate about youth development as she volunteered in area public schools. Her growing interest in the intersectionality of youth empowerment, education, and community service led her to pursue a Master in Social Work degree from The Ohio State University, with a concentration in administration.
After relocating to New Orleans in 2009, Jennifer served as a guidance counselor at a local school and developed its first supportive services program. She joined the Tubman team in 2014 as a social worker and continued to promote student achievement and social growth, as well as build effective partnerships with community stakeholders. In 2018, Jennifer earned a Doctorate of Social Work from Tulane University, with a research interest in school social work practice.
