Samuel graduated from Tulane University in 2013 with a B.A in Spanish and Latin American Studies, and earned his Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from LSU shreveport in 2020. During his time at Tulane he volunteered and worked in several New Orleans charter schools before pursuing his teacher certification through TeachNOLA. After joining the Harriet Tubman Staff in 2014, he worked to develop and implement the ESL program to support our growing EL population. As well as translating for our Spanish speaking population he works to build an inclusive environment for non-English speaking students and families to feel empowered and included in their education. Sam serves as the Director of Intervention, coordinating all academic intervention, gifted services, ELL instruction, and 504 services.
