Christopher Hayes is the Dean of ELA Curriculum and Instruction at the Aurora Program. Christopher attended North Carolina A&T State University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Community Planning. In 2015 Christopher received his Masters of Arts in Teaching, specializing in Special Education from Pfeiffer University. Prior to joining the Aurora Program in 2016 as a founding teacher, he worked for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for 10 years in a variety of roles including associate teacher with the After-School Enrichment Program, Special Education teacher assistant, and SPED Teacher. Since joining the Aurora Program, he has enjoyed being a part of and serving the New Orleans community. He has been the lower school ELA teacher for the past four years and is excited to start his new role as Dean of Curriculum and Instruction.
