5-6 Team Leader + 6th Grade ELA Teacher
Jennifer started her career working for charter schools in Albany, New York where she served as Curriculum Developer and supported schools in their initial years of operation. Additionally, she worked as Special Project Researcher on the “Taxonomy of Effective Teaching Practices,” later published in Teach Like a Champion (Lemov, 2010). Jennifer’s work with the local charter school movement allowed her the opportunity to become a founding member of the Board of Trustees for Green Tech Charter High School, the first charter high school in Albany. Following her passion to become a classroom teacher, Jennifer went on to spend five years as a 4th grade math teacher and Math Committee Leader at Brighter Choice Charter Elementary School in Albany. There, her class surpassed NYS benchmarks and achieved a 100% pass rate of the New York State Assessment of Mathematics in 2009. For the past 4 years, Jennifer has shifted her teaching focus to English Language Arts with Uncommon Schools in Troy, NY. There, she had the opportunity to teach ELA to grades 5-7. During her time with Uncommon, Jennifer expanded her role to serve as an Instructional Coach on the school’s Leadership Team. Jennifer DelGreco received a B.A. in English with Teacher Certification from the State University of New York at Brockport and a M.S. Ed in Professional Teacher Education from the College of Saint Rose.
