Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Montessori Campus
As a founding Harriet Tubman staff member in 2011, Lisa has helped establish excellent classroom instruction for our K-1-2 Montessori program, teaching ELA for the past eight years. Lisa was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year, and in 2019 serves as Director of Curriculum and Instruction on the Montessori Campus while continuing to teach ELA to the students in the Vanderbilt classroom. Lisa received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ohio University in 2009. During college, she helped to create and run a summer camp for children with developmental disabilities, which reaffirmed her passion to work with students with special needs as a life-long career. She "Passed with Distinction" in the TeachNOLA certification program in the top 10% of all participants, and she holds a level 2 certification in elementary education and special education, mild-moderate.
